Road Trip to St George

Last week I finally had enough time to make a short 2 day trip to St George to visit Grandma Boyce. (It was my one week summer break from summer school.) My trip was jammed packed with things including:
* learning tatting
*remembering crocheting
*fabric shopping
*strawberry freezer jam (Steph, I know you're jealous!)
*Brigham Young's winter home tour (I know why it wasn't his summer home...It was only 105 degrees when we were there.)
*Wal-Mart clearance sections----great deals!
*In-and-Out burger----LOVE it! I can't believe they finally made it to Utah.
*black licorice ice cream (Elizabeth, I know you want that! lol) Seriously, it was the best ice cream I have ever had. It is worth the drive for the ice cream!
*Alberto's Mexican food---yummy!
*craft stores and more craft stores
Okay, so majority of my two day adventure can be summed up by crafting and eating. Well, it is me.

One of the neatest (and some what creepy) things about the trip was seeing my grandma with her "babies". My grandma hand feeds several neighborhood ground squirrels. Literally they crawl all over and eat out of her hand. I guess this has been several years work in progress with bonding a relationship with the squirrels. It is crazy to watch these wild, nasty, yet kind of cute animals eat out of her hand. (Elizabeth, I know you are dying right now reading this.)

I had a blast with my cute grandma. Her birthday is on pioneer day, so happy early birthday to her.
